Holiday Pins

Everybody likes to look festive for the Holidays and these pins will add just the subtle touch you are looking for.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Corks, wine corks work best
  • Small Red and Green Pom Pom's
  • Red or Green Pipe Cleaners or Chenille or Heavy Wire
  • Craft Eyes
  • Garment Pins
  • Hot Melt Glue
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Old Knit Gloves or some Felt
We'll make two different ones. One will have a hat while the other will have earmuffs.

Paint the Corks white.
For the earmuffs, glue the Chenille, Pipe Cleaner or Wire over the top of the cork.
Glue a Pom Pom on each side where the ears would be.
For the hat cut the finger off an old knit glove (be sure to have your parents permission).
Pull it over the top of the cork with some tacky glue. You can fold it back on itself a little bit to give it a rolled up look.
Tie the top of the hat with some ribbon.
Paint on the faces with black acrylic paint.
You can paint the eyes or glue on Craft Eyes.
Hot melt glue the pin on the back of the cork.

There you have it, a great looking pin to put on your clothes or give to a friend. These are also nice to add to the wrapping of a present. Not only does it look nice but the person has something to remember you by.
