In loving memory of Betty Montgomery. This recipe was one of her very favorites and we thought you would enjoy it too. Mama's Upside-down Cake
Pour the Fruit on top. Cream together Butter, Egg, Sugar and Vanilla. In a separate bowl sift together dry ingredients. Alternately add dry ingredients and warm water into the creamed mixture. Pour on top of the Fruit. Bake at 350 to 375 degrees F for 25 to 35 minutes. Remove from oven and let set for 5 minutes. Turn over on a serving plate. After you fix this you'll see why it was one of Betty's favorites and one of ours. Her most favorite was to us Pineapple. These are recipes that have appeared in our news letter or on our web site.
